The Night of the Hunter

The famous trick or treat, costume parties, reading scary stories and viewing of horror films are some of the typical Halloween activities. We suggest you The Night of the Hunter, a fascinating film story where its director, Charles Laughton, was able to mix endless references, from the fairy tales of the Grimm Brothers, the terror of Poe, to an exquisite expressionist atmosphere – with the constant struggle of lights and shadows in one of the most chilling and beautiful films of cinema history about children’s fears and nightmares where children are immersed in a suffocating atmosphere of fear, in an adult world tempted by desire, delirium, greed, and witnessed the battle between good and evil.
